COMOX HANGAR 7 REPAIRS

The Comox Hangar 7 Repairs project was a complicated construction project within a secure area of CFB Comox that included the removal of an entire wall assembly on the West Wall. This wall was approximately 18,000 square feet and required scaffolding up to 60 feet high and 300 feet long for access. The scope of work included complex asbestos abatement that was completed in two phases with interior and exterior hoarding that needed to maintain negative air pressure at all times.  There was new cladding installed on approximately 10,350 square feet on the East Wall of Hangar #7 and a new roofing upgrade for 5,000 square feet. There were also major mechanical and electrical upgrades within the contract.

The value of this project exceeded $3.5 million and was completed in April of 2016.
