NRGH Water Supply Building

The Water Supply Building project was located at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. The Water Supply Building was built to replace the main water line that supplied water to the hospital.

This project consisted of the construction of a new building made of structural steel and masonry brick. This building houses the mechanical connections, valves, meters and gauges for the hospital. It also included selective demolition of an existing building and new underground services connecting the main water line to the city supply.

The main obstacle for this project was connecting to the existing Asbestos Concrete water line. Special precautions were taken to ensure a constant supply of water to the hospital.

This project was completed in January of 2015 and had an approximate value of $610,000.
